The Ranger came back to North America for 2019 with a single, unusually focused powertrain: the 2.3L EcoBoost four paired with the ten-speed automatic, in a body-on-frame midsize truck. A note on electrical, because we would rather be straight with you: this set is the factory service manual. It includes electrical component removal, installation and testing, module communications and connector inspection procedures, but it does not include the standalone wiring diagram booklets that Ford publishes as a separate volume. Common issues this manual helps you tackle

• Ten-speed harsh or delayed shifting — the most-discussed Ranger complaint, worked through reprogramming, valve body service and internal repair. Section 307-01 covers the 10R80 end to end, including the main control valve body.
• Shift cable and rollaway recalls — 2019 and 2020 trucks were recalled for shift-cable bracket fasteners and an unseated cable clip that could leave the truck out of Park. The transmission external control procedures document the cable, its bracket and adjustment.
• Rear lighting connector failure — a 2019 recall for taillamp connectors that were not properly seated. The lighting and wire terminal inspection sections cover connector service directly.
• HVAC blower motor short — recalled on 2019 trucks for a fire risk, then again for defective replacement motors. The climate control sections carry blower motor removal and installation.

Yes. The North American Ranger used the same 2.3L EcoBoost and 10R80 ten-speed for the whole run, on the same platform, so the factory procedures apply across those years.
